Recovery DVD for Agilent 16801A logic analyzer

I just scored an Agilent 16801A logic analyzer for $150 on eBay.  I think the unit is missing the HD and I will need  the recovery DVD to bring it back to life.  Does anyone know how to get it?  It is not available for download on keysight.

You could ask Keysight for it. The analyzer is still supported. There are directories from them on ftp.keysight.com/cos/outbound/16xxx recovery images but they are all empty :(.

Call your local Keysight call center, they should be able to help or at least put you in touch with the right people. Also, that's a screaming deal for that LA, congrats!

Someone posted the file I need on 7/7/17 but unfortunately it is incomplete.  It measures 1.38GB when the original image was around 2GB.  When trying to burn it to a DVD, it is not recognized as a valid iso image.

ftp://ftp.keysight.com/cos/outbound/16xxx%20recovery%20images/16800-14103/16800-14103.iso

I also tried installing Windows XP professional and then the Logic and Protocol Analysis software 5.90 that is available for download on keysight, but at some point during the installation, LPA software says that the disk image is not Agilent and then it fails to initialize the logic analyzer board.  I am not sure if the error is due to not using the Agilent recovery DVD to install Windows XP or something wrong with the hardware.

Contacted Keysight customer support, waiting for a reply.

Just amazing customer service from Keysight

A Logic Analyzer Applications Engineer uploaded the correct iso file and I was able to recover the 16801A unit.  It is a nice addition to my collection of Keysight (HP Agilent) instruments.

Thank you Keysight
