REK RK8512 300W DC Load Help
« on: November 24, 2016, 12:59:36 am »
Hi all,

I picked up one of these during my last visit to Shenzhen, same store as I purchased my Rigol scope and also have purchased equipment on previous visits so are fairly trustworthy in terms of quality and brands which is why they are my goto place for test equipment when I'm on a buying spree in SZ  :D

I've downloaded the english manual and appears that Menu is considerably different to the Manual. i.e.  <Shift> 0 takes me to the menu but only has 3 things to select  1) System Set, 2) List Set , 3) Auto Test Set and then Menu Exit.   There is no Config menu and I can't get into calibration mode as described in another threads on this forum.

I'm trying to get the software working with it to record some battery discharge tests which first alerted me to the fact that I couldn't get into the config menu to set baud etc

Firmware on boot up is showing V2.4.

Stephen...

...just realised I was reading the BK precision manual so more than likely will be a difference. Doh! :palm:

Could someone with this model please let me know if there is any way to configure baud rate etc?

Also I'd love to know how this thing is calibrated

Stephen

As usual a rebranded unit  but here is a more established brand..Maynuo. ;) There is a config menu.
(shift key and up,down arrows/) also note it uses dedicated usb cable/dongle.

Maynuo user manual:  http://www.maynuo.com/downloadfile/2009102937213561.pdf

Thanks for that, What I'm finding is that the menu contents is different to the manual of others like the Maynuo and BK instruments where there doesn't appear to be a config menu???   I did pick up a dedicated isolated USB/TTL interface for it.
