| Replacement Rotary switch in a Fluke 720a and photos |
| (1/1) |
| NANOJOLTS:
Here's a comparison of a rotary switch from a (Fluke 720a) and a (Leeds Northrup) rotary switch. I replaced a broken rotary switch (S8) in a (Fluke 720a) with a Leeds Northrup rotary switch. Fluke switch has 4 leaves? and Leeds switch has 3 leaves?. You think it will work? |

There should not be a big problem, as long as all of the connections are good. The L&N type 31 switches are good. I did a test on one , a few years ago. https://www.eevblog.com/forum/metrology/4-wire-switch-selectable-resistance-standard/msg1172561/#msg1172561 |

The Fluke 720a seems to have had failing/broken rotary switches S2 and S8. Photo of manual notice to than affect, dated 3/97. |
