I'm in the market for another DMM (jeez), and given Keysight never responded to my inquiry about the MEM upgrade for the 34465A (I eventually gave up and just bought the digitizer and memory options since I needed them at the time) - and now with service centers which apparently think recommending against the use of their own products is a viable solution, I'm looking at the Keithley 7510. I was going to order the 34470A with both options, but looking at the price it's only about $800 less than the Keithley (both as quoted), and the Keithley on paper is a significantly more capable instrument. More memory, faster acquisition, better stability, lower noise floor, and a bunch of useful measurement tools. (The 2450 SMU also looks very interesting, especially the ability to measure I-V response or act as a precision current sink.) But specs is one thing, actual use another and the 7510 has been plagued with tons of firmware problems. Is this all water under the bridge at this point? The 34465A, if anything, is a rock solid performer. (Apart from ACAL having messed up my ACV calibration.) How is the 7510 in use? Aye or naye on buying one?
