I'm involved with this project: a handheld RF DMM.
I think that leaning on the AE20401 of Ascen, i can get a handheld unit to make fairly accurate checks in a comfortable, efficient way, and above all, very affordable!
I'm finalizing the installation of 2200 mAh LiPo battery (3S) and checking what autonomy it will have, to prevent that the device has to be plugged.
I think it can be very useful for measuring power, frequencies (1ppm TCXO), return loss (SWR) and a few more things, all in the place you need to have to measure ...
I will post in this thread the progress and a better characterization of this cheap but effective tool ... suggestions are welcome, empathy and synergy is sought ...
