mastershake:
another question for my student. im thinking of him just going with the 6024 or is there a reason he should go for one of the lower output models. im thinking this way he will have more then enough to use it for most anything under the 65 ish volts vs needing multiple units for different amperage. so other then the extra digit would you say there is any advantage other then noise to going with a smaller output unit? maybe im thinking about this all wrong for him (currently dealing with chemo brain i hate to say)

once again i appreciate it

A linear PSU wouldn't be "better"? Something like a Korad? I recently got a WuZhi5005 knockoff and happy with it, but it's to feed motors. My Korad KA3005P has *much* less noise. And IIRC, would be cheaper than a complete 6024 kit -frontend+case+PSU. Not so much ooomph as the RuiDeng though

I hope you'll get better health soon.
