Riden RD6018 - Thoughts on AC/DC Power Supply for It
« on: August 22, 2022, 01:37:54 pm »
This may be obvious to others here, but why could you not power the RD6018 with a quality 12V >1000 watt SMPS, and run it through a boost converter, to get the 60-70 volts that this buck converter wants as input?

I’m looking for good options for the back end of this buck converter, and there aren’t many, other than the manufacture-specified non-name 60-70VDC power supply.

Any other suggestions welcome, and if it makes any difference, I’m in 120 VAC land.

Thanks!

Nobody, huh?

Well, to get started, I purchased a Mean Well LRS-350-48, as that is at least a quality supply, and should serve most of my needs.

Funny, I was just going to suggest a MEAN WELL.
I bought the 15V Mean Well LRS-150F-15 for my model railroad.
