Rigol North America Black Friday sale on DHO1000 series
Martin72:
That would really only be a point if someone needs Bodeplot.
Otherwise, everything speaks in favor of a DHO1000.
More memory, more sample rate, hi-res mode, larger screen, higher screen resolution...

Really temping with the added Saelig discount code. $563 before sales tax, including shipping, for the DHO1074.
Other than the 10.1" screen (which is a big deal by itself) can someone remind me what are the main improvements over the DHO800/900 series? Is it mainly just the 100Mpts upgrade capability?
I was watching the DHO800/900 release with some interest, but was really holding out for Siglent's entry into that space. With this deal though, I'm awfully tempted.

Yes, Rigol needs to get off their asses and copy siglents implementation: https://siglentna.com/application-note/bode-plot-filter-oscilloscope-generator/ But worst case you can write a short script to do this, with the sig gen of your choice.
They might be clearing out the DHO1000 for a new model, with built in AWG, but its never going to be that great compared to a standalone product.

See what martin said above, 2GS/s vs 1.25.

Yeah if you mean the post above mine, he posted while I was writing mine, so didn't see it until after.
Also just saw 2N3055's post over in this thread that points out:

If I personally would have to chose between DHO800 and DHO1000 at that price difference I would certainly get the 1000.
Just screen size is huge difference in usability. Better sampling helps a lot. 1000 has more memory. Better time base accuracy and stability. It has Hires Mode. 1000 has specification for EXT trigger jitter.
As for analytic functions, they are both pretty much equal. 100 can show 14 measurements instead of 10. If unhacked both, 1000 has few more protocol decodes.. It will have better specs connected with sampling speed. For instance faster detection in peak mode. It will have more Wfms/s. It has propper power supply. Etc....
It is a better scope in many details.
Download datasheets and compare. If difference is worth the money for you is up to you to decide.

I'm about a mm away from pulling this trigger...
Rob, you need to get over here and convince me that us NA customers are going to see a similar BF deal from Siglent, stat!

The new Siglent will probably be better than the Rigols, but it's not there yet.
I have the DHO804 here, next to my SDS2504X HD.
I like it.
But the DHO/HDO 1000 is simply a class above and if you can currently get it for under 600...go for it.
And when the new siglent comes out at some point, you will certainly be able to get rid of the DHO1074 you have purchased now without much loss.
