Thanks for the heads-up on this offer. Just ordered a DHO1074 at the EU Rigol shop where they were listed as still available.

I could not afford the Keysight DSOX1204 and went with the EDUX1052A instead, which I really like for dual channel work. But I lusted for a 4-ch option with a high-res screen to accomodate for the additinal waveform space requirements ever since and that'll do it for the time being until I will be able and willing to buy an appropriate device from Keysight.

I predict you won't be buying a Keysight.

Sure, it would be great if the device leaves nothing to desire. I am really looking forward to testdrive it open-minded and hope for an arrival prior to the time between christmas and new year's eve where I can start to dig in.

I received the DHO1074 I ordered several days ago now.  Got it upgraded no problems.  It's great having that 10 inch screen,  especially with all the information you can have it show at the same time.  It's a beast!

Even if you're a fan of Keysight, those scopes are getting old at this point, so for a hobbyist it just makes zero sense to buy one new.  Just get a used one and liberate it.

Ordered a DHO1074 from Rigol NA as time expired on Black Friday pricing. What a nifty scope! Off the bat, the web interface was unusable; most of the data fields were empty, and the network entries were unstable. I updated the firmware to 0.02.11, and the web interface calmed down, very helpful in fact. I found the official firmware instructions confusing. Ended up using the Start menu, and the Storage->Disk submenus to select the .GEL file. The UPGRADE button worked fine. I repeated the firmware upgrade process to go to 0.02.12 with no problem.

The option upgrade process was painless.

Thanks to the eevblog crowd for expert and timely comments.

I have two devices.
An Oszi DHO1104 and a Generator DG822pro.
Poor firmware update service....
..and no software improvements.

For the DG... I've been waiting for an update for almost a year.
Never again Rigol!
Better to spend a little more money and have more fun.
For example: Batronix Magnova.... :)

Whilst I share your view on Rigol's quality practices and customer service, I don't think we can fairly say that the Magnova is 'a little more money'. However good it might prove to be, that series is vastly more expensive than the Rigol models mentioned previously in this thread.

arhh..doesn't that simply meen that Rigol knocked it out of the park from the get-go.   :-//
Yea, it's quite staggering.. not even one update, since I purchased my Rigol DG821PRO at Singles day last year (delivered mid december2023)
the one it arrived with, still lists as the latest, here a year later.
Rigol in a nutshell.

To be fair, they made it quite clear via the front panel and UI design that they were not serious about this series.  :P

Never trust a design team which uses fake electroluminescent (?) digits, does not know how to draw a sine wave, and arranges the number pad in a circle...

Seems they finally got the memo and changed the circular number pad on the DG5000 PRO series, though the UI seems to be identical to DG800/900PRO.
https://www.rigol.com/products/DG_detail/DG5000_Pro  DG5000PRO seems to be a Sig'gen series that price-wise will be around 4000 to 7000€ here in the west.

To be fair. the circular number pad doesn't bother me, as I don't use it, and likely wouldn't even if it was rectangular, - its so much more convenient to use the number pad on the screen.
The relatively big 7" screen is a huge plus.. do enjoy that, on these modern signal gens that are packed with features and also like the mobility from running it on power banks, but one gotta wonder where Rigol's heads were when they decided to put these hysteric noisy fans in their latest signal gen & scope-lines, not least when it was an area Rigol prioritized on last gen signal gens without the "PRO" where Rigol glorified how they managed to make them passive, and what a joy that would be.

...but you can compare it with the DHO4000. It doesn't look any better there either.

You can, but no one here really recommends high end rigol gear. The value is in the low end parts (<$1000), which re-use the tech from the DHO4000.

$2700 gets you the Magnova BMO100, that is way more than I'd ever spend on a scope, and its only 100MHz. Unless someone figures out how to hack it, then maybe the value proposition goes up a bit.

$2700 gets you the Magnova BMO100

Only until December, if the 'Introductory offer' pricing is to be believed. Then it jumps up by a further ~500USD, as far as I can make out from Batronix' listing.
