What the hell are they doing now? Check out the Chinese version of www.rigol.com (http://www.rigol.com) and look at the "M300"

So other than the DMM, what does the shit do? What is a "matrix module" and what are the functions of a "multifunction module"?

It is for adults only who need to acquire lots of data.

If you are not familiar with the terms, well, as I said, this is adult stuff.

Adult stuff my ass; I've got more cock than a Smith & Weston! Doesn't give a person automatic knowledge of what functions are meant by "multifunction". So far it just looks to me like a logic analyzer that gives the current state of all bits on a bus.

It's for automated testing.  The idea is that you can connect fifty test points up to your device and then scan through and measure them all.  I've used one for thermal testing, you can run some wires out of the chamber for each test point and for your thermocouple, connect them all up to the machine. Whenever you want to make a measurement you set the relays appropriately and make the measurement over the LAN.  You can make all of the measurements in a few milliseconds. It's much better than doing it manually unless you're blessed with an LXI-enabled multimeter for every test point in your device.

Serious dude, if you can't figure it out by looking at the pretty pictures you still need to grow up. It is childish to run around and ask "what does the shit do?" when all you need to do was to look at the pretty pictures for five seconds.

To be fair, I think "logic analyzer that gives the current state of all bits on a bus" was not too unreasonable an analysis to make of the pretty pictures if you have no clue what the thing does.

Also at Rigol's international site, although there's no link to the M300 page in the menu system.

http://www.rigol.com/prodserv/M300/ (http://www.rigol.com/prodserv/M300/)

For detailed performance parameters and technical specifications, refer to M300 Series Datasheet (http://int.rigol.com/download/Oversea/M300/Datasheet/M300_DataSheet_EN.pdf)

I noticed it in the German Rigol distributor Batronix' Rigol product catalog, where they mention it as being released in September 2013: http://www.batronix.com/pdf/Rigol/Rigol-Product-Catalog-Batronix.pdf (http://www.batronix.com/pdf/Rigol/Rigol-Product-Catalog-Batronix.pdf)

This thread has been around a while...

Anyone used one of these?

Anyone have an opinion on if the Rigol could be a viable alternative to an Agilent (Keysight) or Keithley in this area?

Hi, any new experiences with M300? It has some features I am interested in. It could replace multiple NI and Keysight instruments in my application. It would have to run 24/7 in production for a few years.
