Rigol DHO800 Clock Calibration
« on: October 12, 2024, 09:44:47 pm »
Hello, I can't seem to find any info on calibration of the DHO800/900 series. I have a DHP814 and when using it's frequency counter it's off by quite a bit. Anyone know how to adjust this or have the calibration manual?

I found calibration manuals on Rigol's web site, but they don't list these models.

How much is quite a bit?  If it's more than like half a percent, the likelihood that it's triggering or your source is far greater.  It's likely that there is no calibration for the timebase - it's probably a TCXO that's trimmed at the factory and may not even be adjustable on the board.

For 10.000,000MHz I get  9.999,96MHz. So it looks like it's off by 40Hz. Specs say +- 25ppm which I think makes it just out of spec if I'm interpreting it right. This would give a max low of 9.999,75

9.999,96MHz is only a 4 ppm error.
