I have the jitter in 804 and 924 mode. That seems not related.

..and with 1.02 fw??

He hacked his 804 to 9xx something as there is the LA option, also had 1.02..

Using the latest firmware 00.01.04. Shows huge jitter when using AC coupling.
AC triggered:
What if you try to change the trigger level from 0.0V to something above or below that, for example, 1V?

..and with 1.02 fw??

In 1.03 FPGA firmware was changed. Exact same binary is in 1.04.

Could it be the fpga bitstream change introduced the jitter? The guy had 1.02 with "no jitter"..

That symbol below the channel vertical scale/offset indicates you are in DC coupling in both screenshots you shared. Am I missing something?
It's about the trigger AC coupling. When using that you can leave the trigger level at zero even when the signal input is DC coupled. I use this to monitor DC supply signals. Subtract the nominal level using a fixed offset. Now any DC shift is seen, no limitation of the front end AC highpass.

I can change the level over the entire slope. It does not change the jitter.

Yeah. I've just checked: same thing exactly on the 1.02 firmware, DHO804 in the 924 mode.

p.s. what's that blue histogram that you used to measure and demonstrate the amount of the jitter? I don't think I ever came across it. How do you turn that on?

I purchased my Rigol DHO914 oscilloscope from an authorized distributor in Poland, NDN-Zbigniew Daniluk. It was part of a Black Friday promotional offer, and I paid only $540 for a brand-new DHO914. However, as you know, the buttons do not work.

I reported this issue to the supplier. After a brief phone conversation, they advised me to return the device. I did so, and now I’m waiting for their response.

After waiting for a month, I finally received my Rigol DHO914 oscilloscope back. The distributor sent the device to the official service center in Germany, where the entire mainboard was replaced.

I’m currently testing the oscilloscope, and so far, everything is working as expected.
