Rigol DHO924S Logic Analyzer Trace zoom Issues
« on: October 30, 2024, 04:46:58 am »
This is a question and somewhat of a rant. I have Rigol DHO924S. As a scope it works well so I decided to fork over another $400 for the PLA2216 logic probe but it's been a huge disappointment. The issue is the traces are so small i can barely see then and they are drawn behind text. I changed the settings to LARGE font but it makes no difference and the trace can't be moved, zoomed, or rescaled. I contacted Rigol, they respond quickly but the only suggestion was to switch the signals around so D0 wasn't on the bottom but that hardly makes a difference when I can barely see the thing. What really burns me is they acted like there's nothing wrong with it and had no plans to fix it.

Is there a way to rescale it? Any have a good experience with the logic probe on this scope or other models?

Hi,

you can try to switch the axis labels off.
I'm not sure, but for normal measurements you can move the traces by drag and drop on touch interface.

It's not clear to me from your screenshot how many channels you are actually trying to use concurrently. Is it just channel D0?

If so, then turning off the other active but unused channels (D1 thru D7) will possibly allow you to increase the size of the D0 trace. At least, that would be the case on the MSO5104 which I own.

If not, then you're probably stuck with what you have. The 5104 at least, doesn't allow you to position individual traces at will. The most you can do is resize them (screen real estate permitting vs active channels), or to reorder them.
