EL300 DC load and obsolete Motorola Transistor SJ1891

I picked up a working 60A, 60V DC load ---- AC/DC Electronics EL300 for $25

I found a manual online that includes the schematics. Looks like it uses SJ1891 output transistors, I have searched high and low for a data sheet, does anyone have a clue what an appropriate substitute would be?

I will need to look on my old computer i believe it was a to -204 , 2n62xx. It was 20 - 30a NPN
Quick mouser look suggests 2n5886 , or 2n6341.

SJ were house numbered transistors so very little information is available.

In this application I would use a 2N3773 or MJ15024. Both of these are high power audio transistors.

Pay attention to Safe Operating Area curves, particularly the second breakdown limits.

It goes without saying, that you have to watch out for fakes.

Did you have any luck finding a suitable replacement?  I just st got a hold of EL750B and I need the same part

It would help to see a schematic, a photograph of the transistors where they are mounted, and a photograph of the transistor tops.
