Title: Rigol DP811 remote sensing
Post by: terrance on September 27, 2024, 05:36:45 am
I got my DP811 calibrated, and the voltage output and measurement is within spec now.

but, when I toggle "sense", voltage output (externally measured) jumps between 2 values, is 1.8% lower when "sense off", but internal readings are the same. There's 0 load, and sense+ sense- is short to output +/- at the terminal.

- set: 1.000 V,  meas 0.982 V
- set: 10.000 V, meas 9.819 V
- set 40V. meas 39.284V

 >:( this drives me nuts, I did a "sense off" calibration, and now, it is 1.8% lower when "sense on" than "sense off"   :wtf:

And the "ADC cal" (page 2) fails, and "sense cal" has only 1 calibration point.

I'll try a "sense" calibration in script.
