Rigol DS1000Z Series Latest Firmware - "Pluses" Spelling Error Corrected

I just updated my DS1054Z to the latest firmware last night (v00.04.04.SP4 at the time of this writing) as I had not done it since I first purchased it in early July 2016. The "Pluses" spelling error appears to be corrected on this version.

I have an ooold 1054Z (4+ years) w. original fw , that might need a fw upgrade.

Can i do the upgrade in 1 step , or does one have to "land" on a specific middle version , in order to Ie. upgrade the loader before going to latest ??

I have 1 too that is around 2 years old, I am sure! I have never updated it although I have threatened to on a few occasions. It is something I need to do so I might just do it over the weekend and that will be it done. Is it still the same process as described on the 1054z update thread on this forum?

i believe you can directly upgrade from ver1 to this ver4 directly, no need intermediate upgrade. btw, pulses on the left side menu was fixed by earlier version, its just pluses on the measurement output at the bottom screen that was not.

They always wanted that, but there's no confirmation emails or anything. You can type in rubbish and you'll get to the download page.

they have verification code sent to email to pass registration.. this is the first time i have to register, 2 or 3 downloads of previous version didnt require registration... anyway it doesnt hurt..

I have seen some nice system info images w. bootloader & cpld version , mine is quite sparse

Is that because i have an ancient bootloader , or don't i do the correct show command ??
I used <System> - <Show version> , i think it was called

Power on the oscilloscope.

Under the Trigger area on the front panel, press (Quickly) Menu > Menu > Force > Menu
and then press Utility > System > System Info

Hmmm ... That still just shows the short version of system info

You have to press the "Menu - Menu - Force - Menu" sequence reasonably quickly.
Also, make sure to use the "Menu" button in the Trigger section, not the one in the Horizontal section.

After the upgrade and reboot you should probably do a Self Calibration - Utility -> 2d Page -> Self Cal
You should allow the scope to come up to temperature - about 1/2 hour according to the manual
Don't forget to remove the probes - although, the scope will remind you, it's hard to overlook
