Just in case your are having trouble sourcing a Rigol DS1054Z that are in very high demand I can tell you that BatterFly in Italy has ample stock :), I was messed about by Batronix so cancelled with them :rant: |O, from a post on here about BatterFly I thought I would try them and I ordered mine and last week and got 4 days later delivered to the UK ;D, absolutely no problem at all. If you want one of these sharpish I would go to them as they do not mess you about.

How did Batronix mess you about? I've been buying stuff from them for years and I've never had a problem.

Ordered a DS1054Z from Batterfly last week and arrived almost one week later.
Went for the upgrade based on reviews by eevblog, forum & similar.
Feedback on purchase so far....
- Shipped out within one day. Delivery took almost one week vs 2-3 working days quoted, via TNT. Seems the extra delay was due to Easter weekend & Bank Holiday locally. Not a problem for me.
- Slightly more expensive than elsewhere in Europe, but in stock! :)
- Came with latest firmware installed (00.04.02.SP4 / Board version: 0.1.1)
- Asked for & got an eevblog discount...tnx @gmit77
- There was a tee-shirt included in the box...nice touch
- Between ordering & delivery, sold my circa 5 year old DS1052E locally for ~75% of the original purchase price...nice (They seem popular & in demand for resale !!!)
- All in all, a relatively cheap upgrade!
The biggest point is that after 1 day's use, it has more than paid for itself. :)
(was able to significantly improve performance on a project in development, aided by the better resolution on the screen. For some reason these issues didn't seem so obvious to solve last week on the previous model???...Maybe a case of 'new toy syndrome')
Favourite features so far:
- Screen resolution
- Dedicated single trigger button
- Decoding features (trial only as standard)
- Soft menu & measurement buttons
- Extra memory points (decrease after trial period, but still very good afterwards)

How did Batronix mess you about? I've been buying stuff from them for years and I've never had a problem.

Lots of small children have been getting their panties in a bunch because of the stock issues with the DS1054Z. They all want things five minutes ago.

Hopefully it comes with an English manual, because most people don't talk Italian... unfortunately we don't.. because Italian is a cool language :)

I got my DS1074z last year when the DS1054z was not available yet....
It arrived in 2 business days and I always received a great support from the BatterFly Team (gmit77).
