Hey guys, I've been using my new scope for a few days now and I've found myself getting very frustrated with the vertical position knob on this scope or maybe I just can't find a way to do what I want. I want to zoom in on a certain point of an AC curve to measure noise Vp-p. Zooming in horizontally is a piece of cake but adjusting the vertical position is what's killing me. Basically, ever time I change the vertical scale, the line jumps either up of down and I have to use the vertical position knob to bring back the curve I am interested in looking at. How would I go about zooming in on the top left edge of a square wave for example without having to take 10 minutes to get there? Cheers! |

Not sure if this will help but on the 1052E there's a setting buried under Utility called "Expand Refer." Setting this to "Center" instead of the default "Ground" will keep the screen centered on the trace when you change vertical scale. It works most of the time... Maybe the 1054Z has a similar setting. |

Found it! Press Utility ? System ? VerticalExp to select “Center” or “Ground” and the default is “Ground”. I had to change the vertical reference from ground to center. :-DD |
