UT61E backlight wire routing
« on: September 17, 2018, 01:50:48 pm »
I'm putting a backlight into my UT61E DMM, controlled by a cheap TTP223 touch sensor module. I would like to know if my intended location for the module and wiring could affect the accuracy of the meter. I wanted to put the module on the front (there seems to be enough room) to avoid threading my wires from front to back but maybe there's a good reason most mods seem be placed at the back?

I did find this image on another forum. Is that the only area sensitive to interference?

Thanks!

Check my tutorial here:

The pics are showing exactly where I placed the wiring and module and it's working fine that way.

Unfortunately the finest wire I have is still too thick to feed through those via holes from the back of the board to the front so I'm hoping for an alternative route.

Why not spend less than $5 and have enough wire for the rest of your life?
