Yes, i'm shure you will very disappointed with me but i need to decide |O
In my country I've found a good seller who keeps both models..
Rigol ds2072a costs 850€ and with a good discount i could grab the Owon at only 550€ ( vat included..)
I'm very hesitant :'(
Does Rigol worth 300€ more than owon?
Is Owon really so crappy?
It has a bigger screen, is very smaller and quiet..
i know, it lacks any SPI option and memory vs rigol..but.. are these features so much useful in every day use?
helpppp!!! if they were 750 vs 850 i would no thinking ..but 300 bucks are a lot !!!

Well, you can hack the Rigol to get 300Mhz and all decoding/trigger modes, so......

IMHO Yes, without any doubt, i assume you missed this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RmJ2pZloW18 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RmJ2pZloW18) , otherwise i cannot explain your indecision.
If you forget for a moment the creepy plastic build quality and the overall UI screen ugliness, it would be enough to consider it's ridiculous capture rate to pass over it (jump to point 37.20 of Dave's review, you can see the much older DS1052E putting it in shame).
I tinkered a bit with it at an electronic fair, i think that every current Rigol's scope is a much better instrument and putting it against a DS2072A does not make any sense.
Save the money for Rigol DS2072A or go for something else.

They are surely totally different dso's :'(
but...does rigol worth 300€ bucks more ?

Dave takes a look at the Owon SDS Series "Smart" oscilloscope.
The 300MHz model SDS9302. But apart from bandwidth and sample rate, the same as the SDS8302, SDS8202, SDS8102, SDS7102, and SDS6062.

Stupid question .... worth 500 € over at least ^-^
thank you guys!

Would worth even if it cost 600 Euro more, a creaky plastic toy with awful UI and cold war graphic screen against a real modern instrument, built like a tank in comparison.
I still wonder if you have actually seen Dave's review, one of the worst scope passed under his hands, it' enough to watch a third of the video to put it under the blacklist.

OH yes...i've just watched it :-DD
Dave is a bit exagerate in the video but i think after all he's right... :-+

Hi, i've been testing this owon for some days and then i gave it back to the shop. ..(luckly i was in agree with him before. .)
I grab rigol without thinking anymore. .. 8)
Really another planet!
Im amazed by the skill to catch Very fast glitches vs owon blindness...
 thanks to this forum...

Is there any need to address an o'scope as "smart"?
As if a manufacturer whatsoever would call its own product "dumb" or "useless"?

Yes, of course, since a 'Cleverscope' already exists.
http://www.cleverscope.com/ (http://www.cleverscope.com/)
This would make for the perfect pair then ... Clever & Smart.
