scopeman:
Has anyone come up with a VESA mount idea for the Rigol DHO1000 series? I have not received mine yet but I am
thinking ahead.

What do you mean with mounting idea?  If that particular scope has VESA mounting capability then it's just a matter of finding the right Mount capable of holding its weight.

Any computer monitor mount that is compatible with that should work.  Unless I am misunderstanding your question.
scopeman:
Well unlike the DHO 800/900 series (at least from what I can get out of the manual) the DHO1000 series does not have a native VESA mount so I was wondering if anyone has come up with that in a way that does not involve drilling or modifying the scope itself.

JJ_023:
Now I understand your question better.  I deal with fabrication and design on a daily basis.  Depending on what your capabilities are and what you have access to.  The simplest approach would be to fabricate an aluminum VESA mounting plate with drilled and tapped holes.

I would then use an appropriate 3M VHB tape to mount it to the back of the scope.  Keep in mind VHB tape can be tenacious so it would not be easy to remove should you have that requirement.

Also keep in mind that the 1000 is over twice the weight of the 800, at nearly 4kg.  And coming up on twice the physical size.

That will be fine for a fixed mount (there are much heavier and larger monitors, obviously) however, I think it could be impractical to use with an articulating one, if that's your plan.
