Title: Rohde & Schwarz CMU200 Universal Radio Communication Tester resources

Hi all.

I have recently bought a Rohde & Schwarz CMU200 Universal Radio Communication Tester. While waiting for delivery I searched out resources such as manuals, firmware, software and fixes (HDD & screen). I have put them in a post on my blog for others to use. I will update the post over time.

The CMU200 is a very impressive instrument for general RF work, with a spectrum analyser, RF and AF (option) generators and analysers, power meter and frequency counter, all in one box. They can be bought on eBay for quite reasonable sums.

Hi all

I was wondering if there is a BIOS update for the AMD cpu? Mine seems to be V8.50 02.05.06. That may fix the SSD recognition problem. The most recent bios image and tool seem to be on the drive. Can someone help?

"I note the Award BIOS FLASH tool and bios image can be found in \internal\install\bios folder. Run the batch file FLASH.BAT to reflash."

Looks nice, but the download links ast Rohde&Schwarz are all broken!

Not sure what you mean? The R&S links in text all still work. The picture is to show current versions and is a screen shot, not a link. A free GLORIS account is needed to access them via the screen shot shown; register and give equipment details when asked by email. http://gotroot.ca/cmu200/ (http://gotroot.ca/cmu200/) still works too and includes all current firmware.

I tried again and it now works. Not sure what was wrong, perhaps their server had an issue...
