ZD-8915 desoldering station vs ZD-985
« on: February 28, 2020, 10:25:25 am »
Hi.

I purchased an Anfel ZD-985 desoldering station from a large ebay shop in the sector.
Instead, I don't know why, I received the MKC-8915 (i.e. ZD-8915) desoldering station (7 pin version).
From the characteristics it seems to me more or less the same thing, but the one that sent me instead of having the nozzles 0.8 - 1.0 - 1.3, has the slightly larger nozzles: 1.0 - 1.2 - 1.5.
Also in what they sent me, it is not specified that it is ESD, like the one I ordered.

Before you speak to the seller and proceed with the return, do you think they are two equivalent desoldering irons?

Would I have problems having slightly larger tips?

It seems to me that the desoldering iron that sent me is an older model. I am wrong?

Thank you.

Hello. I thank you for the answer.
In fact I had already read all the threads on the subject, but they are very conflicting: some say that they got on well with the ZD-8915, others badly.

But I have not found any direct comparison between the ZD-985 and the ZD-8915.
I'm confused...
