Yes, MCU STM8S003

--- Quote from: ceut on April 17, 2022, 06:49:48 pm ---And the main firmware is in the U8 flash memory of the control part ?

The main firmware is in the U4 MCU STM32F103... (256KB Flash)
External Flash U8 used only for store the logo, nothing else.

Thank you for your answer.
I was not thinking about the boot logo...

Also, I have had an answer from RD, they told that it is a normal beahviour:
"Four-bit resolution digital power supply, PWM DA is used in the design, and the reference is added with RC buffer and then given to the comparison circuit, so that the voltage will not overshoot. The P series power supply has a linear adjustment part. In order to increase the response speed, this part of the circuit is not added in the design, so there will be a small overshoot.
so it is normal , not a problem"

So the "small" overshoot is about +0.40V  at 1.5V (1.90V) and about 0.30V in average in most of the rest of the value  :palm:
I reply them...

I don't know if there will be a solution for that.
So I do not recommand the "P" series at all if some of you plan to do low voltage electronics with it (so the precision and the noise is not usefull at all in these models).

Also, I have tried to follow the leads for the output, to find if I could solve this problem by adding a capacitor or something else anywhere, but it is really complex for me  :-\
And adding big capacitor on the output does not change the overshoot...

Edit1: I have put a capacitor of 22nF, then 470nF in parallel of C9 on the CT pin of U2(TL594): the sawtooth is a lot slower, but nothing changes in the output form  :-\
(with 470nF the frequency is about 1kHz)

Edit2: News from RD Support after my last message to them, they have reproduced the problem, and they told me that a fix could be done (hardware+software). Wating for them  :-+

They released new version...
http://www.ruidengkeji.com/rdupdate/firmware/RD60065/RD60065_V1.41.bin
2022.05.17 V1.41 1.Optimize the small spike at the moment of opening the output.

Did you try it?

Hello,
No I have not seen this new FW  :o
They told me that they will ask me when they will release the new firmware, because they were super busy so no time to check better the beta version.
So will try it tomorrow  :-+

Wow they have done exactly what they told and sent me  :-+ :-+ :-+
Very great job from them !

And I'm super happy because I have contributed for the improvement of this really great little power supply  :D

Now, I have to wait your firmware  8) ;D

First shoot is with the capacitor mod they told me to do with your fw 1.40 (same with the original one), and the second with the new 1.41 firmware I was waiting for 8) :-+
(voltage set at 1.500V)

Sigi_cz:
Hi,
I plan to buy the RD6012P. Is there a list of features the UniSoft's FW adds for the RD6006P? You know, so I can think about them when I need them  ;D
Thanks
