hi all
just want to check if there is an issues running my ds1054Z in me vehicle off an inverter? i have to take some measurements while the car is in motion, and i am unable to find a wireless extention lead anywhere... ;D ;D ;D.
my plan is to plug it into my inverter, and take the measurements whilst its moving.
just wanted to check as i dont know. its a Modified sine inverter if that matters, but i think they are a SMPS, so it should be fine shouldnt it?

Shoukd work, i think the scope should even start off 48V DC (four batteries in series)

Be wary of noise from the inverter and the proximity to the scope.
There's always the DL350 which is battery powered - maybe worth a look: www.dl350.co.uk (http://www.dl350.co.uk)

It'll run, no problem.
Use a separate battery though, don't run the inverter from the car's alternator. Not if you care about noise.

Even better if you can do it!
Lots of people have reported running the DS1054Z with 48V DC.
(switch mode power supplies can do that)
