Title: Sapphire Instrument Being Sold Or Shutdown
Post by: EEVblog on December 04, 2019, 01:45:22 pm
Sapphire Instruments, who make my HVP70 probe and is the OEM for half of the differential probes on the market for the big players like Lecroy et.al is going to either be sold to a new company.
The sale is still pending though, and if it falls through the company will shut down on July 31st 2020.

Fingers crossed that they are acquired and production continues without interruption.  That said, I just ordered another one so I'll have a pair, just in case.  It's not needed too often, but when it is nothing else will easily replace it.
