Scope Companion amplifier
« on: June 23, 2013, 06:54:38 pm »
So talking about ds2072-s on a separate thread got me thinking.  Would be a cool project to design a companion board to the scope that could convert the arbitrary voltage signal to a current sort of like a source measure unit.  Of course it's not as accurate as a proper unit but would still be neat.

Some possible feature would be:

V to I conversion, arb sets current, scope measures voltage.

Arb voltage buffer.  Basically use the arb to set the voltage of a buffered output capable of supplying up to a few hundred mA.  Scope measures current via a uAmp like circuit.

Amplifier compression analysis, capture power vs frequency and gain vs frequency plots.

Frequency mixing...

Thoughts?
