SDM3055 reading speed and storing
« on: December 13, 2023, 12:02:12 am »
Hi,

The SDM3055 has a reported reading speed of 150/sec
When I set it to store data I only get about 60 recorded entries per second
Is it possible to store the 150 readings per second?

Did you select the Fast measurement mode?

From the manual:
Quote
The instrument provides three types of measurement rate: 5 reading/s, 50 reading/s and 150 reading/s.
5 reading/s belongs to “Slow” rate; 50 reading/s belongs to “Middle” rate; 150 reading/s belongs to
“Fast” rate.
Measurement speed can be controlled by softkey menu. Press [Speed] and then press [Slow], [Middle]
or [Fast] to choose measurement speed.

What measurement type?  Some don't support Fast readings, and some only Slow.

I don't have one of these, but I almost bought one so I have read the manual previously.

OK, I believe DCV should support "up to 160rdgs/s".  As I don't have one here, I cannot help further.

Maybe @tautech has some experience, or can follow up for you.

You can try to write down on an external disk. For SDM3065X (for SDM3055 it should be similarly), you need to do:

Acquire
Save Reading
U-disk Record
.../external
Record -> On
Done
....
Record -> Off

I received data 1000 and 10000 Readings/s.
