Title: SDM30XX, Input terminal protection limitation
Post by: knudch on November 04, 2021, 07:01:00 am
In the Quick Guide for the SDM3065X on page 6 is written:

"2. Sampling (HISense and LOSense) terminal
HISense and LOSense are used for 4-wire Resistance
measurement. Two protection limitations are defined:
 HISense-LOSense protection limitation: 2000Vpk.
 LOSense-LOSense protection limitation: 2Vpk."

Specialy the line LOSense-LOSense.......

What does that mean ?

I would say that is a mistake and it should be LOSense-LO is limited to 2Vpk

That was also my first thought

But that means it is only allowed to have 2Vpk between LOSense and LO ?

In case you cross HISense and LOSense (Mistake) and more than 2Vpk HISense-LOSense will it then destroy the meter ?

Finally I got an answeer from Siglent Europe

Quote:
"I got the final feedback that our value should be like at the Keysight you are referring.
The manual will be fixed soon."

I understand it like this:
"Keysight 34460 has 200Vp limitation between HISense and LOSense to any combination"

We will see when the manual is updated
