SDS1104X-E Directly Connection to the PC via LAN cable
« on: January 13, 2023, 10:20:04 pm »
Hello,
I would like to connect my SDS1104X-E  directly to my PC via LAN cable. I also don't know how to reach my oscilloscope over the web browser. What is the IP address to reach my Osci?

Please read the manual before making a thread here: https://siglentna.com/USA_website_2014/Documents/UserManual/SDS1000X&Xplus_UserManual_UM0101X-E02A.pdf
"To Set the LAN" pg 159
or use USB.

It would be good manners to link to the latest manual. It is usually most certainly found on the manufacturer's own website.

Besides, that first one was even a manual for the wrong oscilloscope model. (discontinued 1000X/X+ series)

This is currently the latest in public distribution for SDS1000X-E series and SDS1000X-U:
Including also SDS1000X-E  4-channel models: Data logger and Counter functions, added 2021 with FW 6.1.37R2 .

EV of course. Cars with smoke exhaust pipes - go to museum.

Thanks for all the answers. From ipconfig I took my ip address x.x.x.y and submask number. After that I entered this ip addres(x.x.x.(y+1)) to oscilloscope with exactly same submask. After that I installed Ni Visa and EasyScopex. I think I dont need EasyScopeX. I personally didn‘t like the siglent web interface or easyscopex. I cant use it like my oscilloscope easily.

The webserver is a superior remote interface to EasyScopeX and when forced to use it you will find it different to using the physical controls but it does offer all the same functionality and more.
However it sometimes does not play well with some display resolutions so if forced to change from your native resolution it may be unsuitable for some.
This what it looks like when the control panel is popped out showing the additional virtual buttons:

Here's a little rundown on using the webrowser with a password if you require such.

Mine doesn’t look like this. I will check again. I also have an interface but it is a little bit slow and not easy to adjust trigers, axis and so on. Button turn function is not convinient for me.

@tautech, my interface is different, the buttons are flat (no 3D effect), there is an extra button (FileConverter), "Setup" is written correctly and the buttons at the bottom left are not properly aligned with their designations.
Nothing is very important but why this difference?
My software version is 8.2.6.1.37R9.
The black "Setup" button on a black background, that's not good. :(

The orange button are virtual ones only available in the webserver. The File Convertor was a feature added after that video and it's a small SW tool to convert BIN to CSV. It's also in the Save/Recall menu.
Button alignment I hadn't noticed before which might be the device you are connect to IDK.
To permit use on touch devices (tablets) LH and RH rotation buttons were added and I always thought it a shame any rotational knob couldn't be just hovered over with a mouse to use with the scroll wheel.

When HQ are back from CNY I might suggest they polish the webserver some more.
