SOLVED: SDS2202X-E 350MHz hack not working anymore?
(1/1)
nicolad:
Hi,
I recently bought a new Siglent SDS2202X-E scope. Using the script https://replit.com/@wgoeo/siglent-keygen script I successfully installed all the available options...
But when I try to upgrade the bandwidth to 350MHz something goes wrong and the device enters an "unknown" status showing an empty Instrument Model, Serial Number and Software Version. After restarting the scope, I'm able to revert back to the 200MHz model using the MCBD string generated by the script (so, I can tell the script is working properly)...
Is it possible that some measures to prevent upgrades have been introduced? I tried to downgrade the firmware to version 1.1.19R5 but still the unlock was unsuccessful...
Do you have any advice?
Thank you!

Ok, looks like that I should have used the MCBD key from the 300MHz line and NOT the one on the 350MHz line... Even though the upgrade is to 350MHz...
