SDS7102V noise solved
« on: September 16, 2020, 10:41:07 pm »
Hi, My SDS7102V is fitted with the later power pcb, I had 2 types of noise, spikes from the power supply and signal noise, the 2 should not be confused, after reading many posts here I decided to take a look, as the newer power pcb has all the extra smd ceramic caps and other mods I decided to look elsewhere, I did the D127 mod, this made a big improvement, next I used 25mm copper emi tape across the foil/ferrite to the display, insulated with pvc tape, the copper foil bonds extremely well to the chassis, I did the same across the adapter board over L2 etc, ALL the spikes have gone on both channels, the noise floor is as pictured scope is at 2mv/div pics are grounded and probe in the air, if sufficient interest I will open it back up and take pics.

Hi! Interesting, but i've not fully understood how have you placed the emi adhesive tape.
The noise seem really good fpr this scope.
