Hello, I'm looking for a reliable copy of DATRON 1061A firmware, also if possible, 1061 (no A).
The documentation that I could get, has no proper memory map of the ROM/RAM and the memory mapped devices, and the schematics are a bit difficult to read for my tired eyes, if someone has already done a memory map this will be a great help for me.
Any help will be appreciated.

I think I can help you, I have several 1061A parts units, with various rev. firmware. What is the p/n on your ROM?
Can you burn the ROM, if I send the files?
Also, the manuals are available at ko4bb.com.

@Testech, many thanks, I have an 1061 (no A) that is working very good, and I want to transform it in a 1061A, also I've started disassembling the firmware, it's a nice project, I'm wondering if I can replace the digital board with a more modern one and have some extra features added unobtrusively ;).
If you can give me some firmware images it will help a lot, and I also have a nice Minato Electronics 1890A programmer, for this I really need to make sometime a tear-down and some pictures.

Hi,
I also did it for a 1061 without "A" for everybody who needs the "not A" firmware.
Attached are the images.
According to this picture:

it is possible to assign the EPROM numbers to the actual position of the chips.

@Chronos42 - Your firmware is OK, thanks, waiting for a 1061A.
@Capt B. Leider, your reader's A11 signal is bad (stuck in 0) and the eprom content is bad :'(, please remove the post or edit it or some poor sap will flash them and crash his Datron and/or calibration data !!!
How do I know:
1) The first and bottom half are identical, this is why M18 was looking unprogrammed, because it's half fool.
2) On M30 the last 8 byte are the main vectors of the 6800, especially the last two bytes, these are the actual start address, and on your capture, they make no sense.

Thanks for the hint, I'll have to repair that old ALL03 or get some other programmer then, don't expect this to happen soon.

Nooooo, Capt. you are (one of) my last hope, how can I transform this beauty in a 1061A, now I have to try to do it for 1071, but I'm losing the decibels and ratio, my 1071 doesn't have them |O !!!
Joking aside, no worries, I will survice with the 1061, I've stared to make head and tails of it, the math routnes are pretty cool, remind me of the Z80 tomfullery long ago.

Very nice to see that someone is thinking the same as me :D
i have a 1061 that i would like to flash to a A version :)
Hope you get it working and please let us know your progress on the project :)
