sensitive noise / sound level meter to measure low sounds
« on: May 28, 2018, 05:44:56 pm »
Hi

Not sure where to ask

I'm looking for a noise level meter to measure noise levels of PCs/laptops. I want it to be somewhat accurate the least, so no $10 meters from amazon I guess
Also, it should go down to 20db or so

Any clue?

Thanks in advance, much appreciated

There are many sound level meters on Amazon at a wide range of price-points.
However they virtually all show 30dB as their lower limit.
Perhaps because you need a quite specialized environment to expect to measure anything below 30dB.
Such low-levels typically require an anechoic chamber and much more costly test gear.
