Picked up a TDS460 locally for dirt cheap.
Failed the typical acquisition stuff due to the typical leaking caps.
Replaced all the caps and she runs!
Now to RTFM since I don't use DSO's too much.
I'm thinking it should compliment my 2246a fairly well since about all I do on the side at home is vintage stereo repair.

Looks like a nice score.

Nice!
I bought mine online, working for an average price; took about six months before I had to recap. Found every one of the bastards, works fine now.
Now if only the slow menus could be "recapped"... ::)

I've got a TDS480 and the time between sweeps when the menus are displayed is really slow.
So far no cap problems but I suppose it's just a matter of time.
I really drool when I see the fancy Agilent scopes that Dave shows from time to time.

What's sad is the contemporary 546xx series HP/Agilent scopes have always had real time menus. The acquisition and measurement is still top notch at least.
