I recently picked up an old dspt SigLab model 20-22A to try out and I've gotten close but it's not quite there and I'm hoping one of you guys is either familiar with this unit or someone familiar with Matlab can see what's going in. This is the first time I've used Matlab so I'm not sure how to deal with these errors.
Right now I can do some of the self tests and I can use the signal generator. When I try to launch other functions such as the oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, etc. I get errors in Matlab. I've attached an image of the error that I get when trying to launch the oscilloscope.
I've contacted Spectral Dynamics who used to sell these and unfortunately they no longer support them. The guy who knew about them has retired.
Here's what I've tried so far:
- SigLab version 3.2.6 and Matlab version R11 v5.3.0.10183 installed on Windows 98
- Siglab version 4.0.0 and Matlab version R2009a installed on Windows XP
I get the same errors on both installations. I'm using an Adaptec APA-1460A PCMCIA SCSI adapter which is listed as compatable in the version 4.0.0 readme file.
The software can be downloaded on here (https://www.spectraldynamics.com/support/downloads)and matlab R11 v5.3.0.10183 can be downloaded here (https://winworldpc.com/product/matlab/5x).
Version 4.0.0 requires login credentials to get it. let me know if you want to try it and I'll pm the credentials over.
After installing the software it creates a doc folder with the manual. Unfortunately the manual doesn't offer much troubleshooting advice, it starts off assuming that everything is installed and working.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
Kyle
