Specifically for Siglent SVA or SNA but of possible use to all instruments.

I've been creating SCPI scripts for functions that either don't exist or for convenience.  It would be more than handy if there were SCPI commands for key strokes or especially for knob rotation.  Yes, you can program most functions but a knob[nn|up|down] would work when the focus is on any field that takes knob entry, saving tons of work.

Any such commands out there ??

Look in file "SDG_Programming Guide_PG02-E05C.pdf" section "3.36  Virtual Key Command"
https://siglentna.com/download/16164/?tmstv=1728754057

This command works since SDM3065X.
It might work with SVA or SNA too.

Thank you.  Very interesting.  I'll give it a shot with some of their examples and syntax.

I have the SNA programming manual but did not see any references at all to keys, knobs, virtual keys.

Also, tried some commands (knob and up, down related) from the other post and while they "succeed", they don't appear to do anything.

Hello,

I found the “Virtual Key Command” in the program manual for the SDG6000. As far as I can remember, I have also used it successfully.
But in the program manual for SDS3000X HD and the linked SSA and SVA program manual this command is not to be found.
Could it be that “Virtual Key Command” is a replacement for a web interface?

Best regards
egonotto

Have you just tried this command???

You can check out my "webpage"-link. I have succesfully made buttons of my scope trigger things. Also i have made F1-F12 keys control functions of the scope.
And i made some neat features ;-)
