It's not a compare thread.

It doesn't really matter what you or I see this thread as..
Only matter what OP had intended this thread for and clearly also highlights it as a compare thread, where he wanna show how this new Siglent stacks up, from being around people that got access to one - and can test things against other models and take inquiries for certain tests.

Well, if compare, then the best way is to rank compares by category. Colors and text fonts don't mean too much.
Having a scope that can display signals correctly / accurately along with any applied analysis & math functions, low noise floor, etc, is most important. Then add on other features like Bode and what-not.
The actual name on the plastic don't mean so much these days. The value comes from the "display signals correctly / accurately along with any applied analysis, low noise floor, etc, is most important." plus cost.
I don't care too much about crappy fonts and silly colors if the thing can provide good scope analysis without bugs.

It's 2023, there's no reason not to have both.

You know what, you are absolutely correct!!!
You should go and post that advice in Rigol bug topics...

I use a really good BenQ monitor, made several years ago, and in 2023 there's a better one to buy.
Compare Analysis does not work when every metric possible is ranked the highest on the list.
It's almost like trueHD vs 4k vs 8k video. What good is 8k video if the panel is only 4k native, yet you still get to see a picture, just not in 8k.
Colors and fonts have to be readable, and colors should not be 256 shades of grayscale, etc.
Actual signal processing holds highest weight. Math functions will have their weight too, like Bode probably not as important as a good implementation of FFT.
