Siglent or Rigol; which is a better brand in test and measurement gear? I have a Siglent oscilloscope in 2 channels at 200 MHz. I sacrificed the 2 extra channels for more bandwidth at 200 MHz. Rigol has a nice 4 channels, while at 50 MHz, only good for robot control builds.

So exactly what capability do you need to fit your available budget ?
Max budget ?
BW ?
More channels ?
MSO ?
Display size ?
Touch and/or mouse control ?
Web server ?
Bode plot ?
It's not hard to find DSO's that meet ones needs however when on a limited budget that's another matter.

Really though, Siglent, Rigol, GWI, and others make good kit in the same ballpark that in general will get the job done.. easiest method.. take your rarest requirement that is a must have and use it to eliminate everything else
Like in my case... CAN FD.. pretty much left just siglent at this price point.. most everything else is big bucks

Well... Rigols are cheaper than Siglents so how to compare directly? :-//
What budget range are we talking about? What do you need it for?
If you want the very "best" brand then: Neither.
IOW... YMMV.
PS: I just bought a $500-ish 'scope and it wasn't either of the above.
