Siglent "S bus cable"

A while back I purchased an 1104 scope and shelled out the cash for the logic probe. The probe has just been sitting in a drawer and I forget to use it for that reason! Anyways the way the probe plugs in to the scope makes for a messy ackward work area and that's why I dont have it permanently set up. I'm in the middle of building new shelving for my bench and I'd like to run the sbus cable straight down through the shelf top the scope is on to a lower shelf dedicated to smaller pieces of gear. So I guess the question is, can I just use hdmi cables and right angle connectors, or are the "s bus cables" built in such a way that I risk damaging equiptment or crossing channels with a regular hdmi cable. I looked through all kinds of siglent docs and can not seem to find any information on s bus cables or even an option to buy them, so I'm assuming it's an hdmi cable but want to make sure!!

Just checked for you.
Unfortunately when using a cheap 1m HDMI cable the SLA1016 LA module is not recognized by the DSO.
The SLA1016 module powers up just fine and the Ready light comes on but the DSO doesn't know it's connected.
Other better HDMI cables might give a different result IDK.

I confirm. Tested with several brands of HDMI cables without any success. I also tried to use the original Siglent S-BUS cable with a right-angle adapter without any success either. In the future it yould be useful to get the cable wiring diagram, I doubt there are any active components inside.

Hey everyone,
I know it's an old thread, but this might still be relevant to some: for me, a cheap 1m HDMI extension cable works just fine with the original SBUS cable for connecting the SLA-1016 to my SDS 1104X-E.
Best regards,
