Hello everyone,
I own a SDG 1032X purchased in 2020 and barely used so far.
After many months of dust, I had the opportunity to use it again but unfortunately the unit decided otherwise. After the power button is pressed it gets stuck on siglent logo forever (I can hear a slight click after a few seconds but that's it).
If it is hardware failure I'm out of luck because the warranty is now expired.
However I suspect it might be firmware related because I have some memory of updating the firmware last time I used it.
I'm pretty sure it went through without any issue but who knows, it was a year ago.
Because I can not do regular update through the menu, is there some kind of USB automatic recovery I can try?
Thank you very much

Apparently there is a "USB recovery package", available to/through distributors:

I am sure @tautech, who sells Siglent products in New Zealand and has helped forum users here many (!) times, will chime in soon. In the
unlikely event that he overlooks this thread, you could send him a PM in a day or two.

Welcome to the forum.
Boot freeze in SGD1000X is unusual but there are USB recovery packages available.
Siglent EU HQ will help you:
info-eu@siglent.com
Come back later and let us know how things went.

Thank you, I followed your advice and sent an email to request the recovery files.
I will let you know how it goes as soon as I get a reply.

It has been almost a week and still no reply from Siglent... I have read elsewhere on this forum that they reply quickly so maybe I should email a gentle reminder?
In the meantime if anyone (I'm thinking about the legendary @tautech ;)) happens to have this kind of recovery files, I would be very grateful if they can be shared in private.

What is the usual failure that the recovery package would recover it from?

Failure to boot Bugs.
A recent firmware has a patch to fix.

You are talking about "bugs"? Even so plural? I thought there were only minor issues and user errors, when people use siglent devices? ;D

I knew that response was coming the second I saw what Rob wrote. ::) :-DD

Kind users (tautech and orange) have sent pm to provide the recovery package. It was not working at first because the USB stick had the wrong partition table (GPT). To make it work you have to recreate a MBR partition table and then partition in FAT32 (4k cluster). It is easily done with the Rufus program for example. My unit is now back from the dead, thank you everyone for your help :) !
