Hello.
for reasons that I am not going to specify in detail , I find myself having to use a different and much more recent and modern function generator than the one I have always used , it is a silent sdg830 .
for demonstrative purposes I have built a simple rectifier circuit with a 4 diode bridge fed by a sinusoidal signal coming from the function generator.
what appears on the oscilloscope is not what it should be because only one half-wave is seen and not both rectified.
can someone explain me why?

A dud bridge or you've created a ground loop.
Try the measurement again with a differential probe.

with a transformer I see in the right way, I don't understand why with sdg830 instead not

For educational purpose, please first draw schematic about your circuit.  Generator in left then bridge  and right oscilloscope input.
Draw it using pen and paper and also do not forget draw all routes where current flow. Including also both instruments GND. After then think.
You can also take picture about your schematic and display it here. :)

I also tried with an integrated diode bridge but the result does not change.
I think there is some strange setting in the function generator
