Title: Siglent SDS1000X(-E) with sigrok
Post by: MadS on February 21, 2021, 07:26:27 pm
Hi,
I saw that the SDS1000X(-E) series is supported by sigrok. ( https://sigrok.org/wiki/Siglent_SDS1000X_series )

Did anybody try this already? Mind sharing some images/thoughts?
So far I only used digital inputs with sigrok/pulseview. So is the analog data representation the same as in the digital domain? Is it turning the SDS1000X into a USB oscilloscope?
And: Does sigrok work even with the optional logic analyzer attached to the scope? So you can see both digital and analog values next to each other?

Thanks!

No experience with sigrok but if it accepts all of the SCPI commands in the programming manual it should return the info you seek:

All Siglent scopes can be controlled via USB and LAN and some like the X-E's have a webserver that has a SCPI command panel where you can enter scripts and get data from the scope.
The programming manual linked above has many examples of the correct command syntax for you to study.
