Title: Siglent sds1072cml+
Post by: kp on August 04, 2020, 08:56:44 am
I am new to the electronics caper, so I hope I have posted in the correct subject. I have bought a Siglent sds1072cml+ together with a Micsig High voltage probe 20003. My thinking was to create a Voltmeter with a difference. The micsig states it needs 100MHz Bandwidth. The Siglent is a 70MHz unit. Is there a way of hacking the Siglent to 150MHz? Am I on the right track?
Thanks

No.
You can use a 500 MHz rated probe on your scope if you wish. The scopes BW doesn't need to match a probe's BW for the probe to be perfectly functional to the full BW of the scope.
