Release notes
1. Optimize Autosetup speed

What does "Optimize SDS1104X-E bandwidth" mean?

I was wondering the same thing.

Anybody figure this out yet?    They really could improve their release notes, even going to so far as doubling their word budget could help.   ???

Has anyone figured out what the 'Optimize SDS1104X-E Bandwidth' means?

I find it interesting that although the FW release is for the 4 channel SDS1004X-E series, Siglent mentions the SDS1104X-E model specifically.

robert.rozee:
has anyone verified that:
1. this latest update does not affect an SDS1104X-E (100MHz) that has previously been upgraded to an SDS1204X-E (200MHz) using a user-installed option key,
2. when applied to a 'stock' SDS1104X-E (100MHz), if the update upgrades the bandwidth to be the same as that of an SDS1204X-E (200MHz) - ie, creating a new variant, a 200MHz scope that still identifies itself as an SDS1104X-E.

cheers,
rob   :-)

Should be easy enough to test - just take an 'upgraded' scope and revert it back to 100MHz BW, then apply FW update and see what is reported.  I may try this later this afternoon if nobody else has done it by then.

Whatever this comment means, I doubt Siglent just turned all their 1104 models into 1204 models...

Considering that this update adds all the options as standard, I don't see why the bandwidth option would be different.
