I always disconnect the scope from the mains when not in use. We know that it draws an idle power of about 4W in standby mode, right?
Is there a problem in doing so? Perhaps a rechargable battery in there not recharging and thus creating problems?
--- End quote ---
No RTC therefore no battery minder.

I can (again) completely confirm @Tautech informations :)
My entire little work bench is powered by this foot-switch (I have modded) since I have bought my SDS1104X-E about 2 years ago, no problem with this configuration :-+
(of course I don't forget to power the DSO off if before switching off this foot-switch ;D )
The time is synchronised with a NTP server after a successfull Internet connexion 8)
Also, I add a photo of my motherboard I have made with Heatsink and Fan mod - no CRxxxx lithium battery inside ;)

What is the point of adding those heatsinks? Are they necessary?

As I have made a fan noise mod, I have put these heatsink like here, thanks to @AdiGital who has made some great measurement job ;)

You can find all informations in this short 3-pages topic :-+

Release notes
1. Optimize Autosetup speed
2. Optimize SDS1104X-E bandwidth

What does "Optimize SDS1104X-E bandwidth" mean?

Has anyone figured out what the 'Optimize SDS1104X-E Bandwidth' means?
I find it interesting that although the FW release is for the 4 channel SDS1004X-E series, Siglent mentions the SDS1104X-E model specifically.

Anyone figure it out yet?
