One should be careful. This thread deals with the SDS2000, not the SDS2000X.

SDS2000 series only had 8 logic channels and matching probes were SPL2008. Since this series is long obsolete, these probes are completely incompatible with SPL2016 and cannot be purchased anymore nowadays.

SDS2000X series is obsolete as well but uses the current SPL2016 probe, which is now standard for all Siglent MSOs above the entry level.

SPL1016 is for the bottom range SDS1000X-E, SDS2000X-E, SDS800/1000X HD models. This is a completely different concept, i.e. an independent subsystem which only provides time/trigger synchronization, hence rather poor system integration. There's also no chance to build a clone for that.

Hi there tv84 , I'm trying to get the extra options for my SDS2034 that I managed to get it fixed after shipping it half way across the world during a move...unfortunately I don't think I can PM you, probably cause I'm a "new" user (used to have an account here a long time ago but I guess lurkers were removed at some point in the past 10y+) , if you feel particularly charitable maybe I can reply a DM? Thanks  :-/O

option keys was generated ONLY in Siglent HQ
