I think I updated the firmware this winter. Any fix for that yet or is that an EEVblog thing ? Other than that it works great.

Are you on 5.4 Uboot version with 1.6.2R5 firmware ?

The other possibility is the Save type has been changed to other than PNG.
Check the Utility/Save menu for Save settings.

Hi,

at the moment I  still don´t get it what the major differences the new OS offers?
Are it just timezone an similar functional rather non-relevant features?
We have installed the 1.6.2R5 Firmware in June wo issues.
Is the OS update related to a certain Hardware revision only?

regards
Calvin

It corrects some FW installs that did not update Uboot to 5.4.
Anyone stuck with Uboot 5.0, Timezone does not work correctly, irrespective of the FW version installed.

OS Update operates much like a recovery package to bring the system files to Uboot 5.4.

I hope this will be reverted to be in the style of 1.5.3  :o

Yes, I also noticed the anti-aliasing, but only when you pointed it out. It doesn't bother me, but it's an aesthetic thing that is perceived individually.

I like the serial decoders that I tested today. Too bad the documentation (Serial Signal Test for I2C and SPI) is not ready yet.

My bandwidth tests with the tinySA ULTRA were all positive.

Unfortunately there is no I3C decoder. This is probably a licensing problem, because there is no free I3C decoder for the saleae Logic Analyzer either, although many decoders are already included with the saleae.

What makes me happy is the fact that Siglent is still doing a great job of product maintenance. Especially that new gadgets are still being added.

Cheers

This is a HUUUGE win. Antialiasing on low resolution displays is an ugly nightmare. Proper rasterized fonts are much more crisp and readable. I hope they keep it this way moving forward. Antialiasing just makes fonts look like an ugly, blurry mess.

I've been hoping they'd come to their senses for quite some time now. Half the appeal of the 1000X-E series for me is how crisp the display is due to no font antialiasing nonsense. When I got the 2000X+, the font rendering was a disappointment. I'm very pleased with the changes.
