I just glimpsed at the firmware page, the latest one is still SDS2000X Plus_V1.5.2R3_EN.zip?

Yep still the current version however V1.6.2 is with beta testers.

Played with V1.6.2 last night and some cool things have been added.....can't wait for it to go public.

Will the upcoming firmware version V1.6.2 have the following functions?

1. Selectable vertical label position (Left, Middle, Right) in Vertical Axis Label Setting like SDS800X HD?

2. Selectable font size (Large, Small) in Display Menu like SDS800X HD?

3. Selectable linear or decade display in FFT Horizontal Menu?

It has often been noted over the years that, despite the same software platform, certain features will not be available for all models.

Has anyone tested the SigScopeLab software with an SDS2000X Plus?
It doesn't seem to work with firmware V1.5.2R3 (release date 04.03.23 ), maybe I'm doing something wrong. But it is an interesting approach.

Does anyone know if I can export / save waveform data as a single binary file instead of a separate binary for each channel? The 1000X X-E has all waveforms saved as a single bin and it is pretty convenient. Also, is there an easy way to convert a large batch of binary files?

Has anyone tested the SigScopeLab software with an SDS2000X Plus?

I tried using this software.
Unfortunately, it does not work correctly with SDS2000X+. The timebase is not set correctly, it is in the range from 5 sec/div to 1 sec/div, regardless of what you set from PC. Maybe with the new firmware (when it released) the situation will improve, but for now this software useless for SDS2000X+ owners.

As using latest given FW.

Now getting repeated DSO hangings as saving a BIN file to external USB Stick. Error checking the USB did not showed any errors. 

Is this known? Or any chance to the the upcoming FW?


Some more about the culprit:

- I set the probe as 0.10 as 20dB gain given from the amplifier.... and this causes to crash after certain samples. This means, NOT fully written 1Gs & 100M-samples and as stopped on 5% indication.
  In other situation it looks as OK, even 0.1 probe value. So may a math issue 

- Setting the probe as 1:1 works

Update:

Getting repeated hangup's, I used FFT & 4x AVG as always on and C2 channel as Hide & 10ms & 1G/s to save 100M samples to a folder on the USB stick.

What works now after:

- Formatted 16G USB stick on Win10 as 4k & FAT32

- Did a DSO calibration

- Saved now to any folders using C2 channel on as 0.1x probe settings (gain of amplifier) and FFT OFF

New UI update seems to lack anti-aliasing and the padding is also off, buttons are harder to press with fingers now..
I hope this will be reverted to be in the style of 1.5.3

These are what is called compliance tests.
They will automatically test number of critical parameters of protocol and compile a PASS/FAIL test report with data.
