SDS2354X Plus shows no signs of the @ with same OS and FW.

As Josh said, might be a font thing so try toggling between Small and Large in the Display/Window settings.
Failing that Recall a Factory Default and/or Security Erase.

What is that menu supposed to read?

How do you do the Factory Default or Security Erase?    I found them.  No change.

I tried reflashing the firmware, I'll try again and do the OS first.

Edit:  No luck there.  My system info has the "@@@" in the lower right hand corner--what is supposed to be there?

A 3.5 digit 4.5 digit 5 digit 5.5 digit 6.5 digit 7.5 digit DMM is good enough for most people.

There's only one OS that has been released so I can't downgrade.  I'm not sure that reinstalling the OS is actually doing anything, meaning that perhaps the scope just skips it when it sees that it is the same as the current OS.  If so, any ideas on how to force it?

Changing font size had no effect.  This seems pretty weird...

V1.6.2R5 is the latest, not the one in your screenshot.

I think that's just the truncated label?  There's no other version that starts with "1.6.2"...  What does yours show?

Make sure that you apply the firmware update after the OS update.
1) The OS update.
2) Reboot.
3) Flash the firmware.
4) Reboot.

I'm attaching screenshot from mine.

Edit: In my case, the OS update downgraded the firmware to 1.6.2

1.6.2R5
New unit with upgraded FW to 1.6.2R5.

Now you need read the OS Update notes, attached.
Notes: After upgrading the OS version, you need to upgrade the latest firmware, otherwise some functions will be abnormal. If there are display problems after upgrading, please execute Recall - Factory Default.

Thank you all, something had gone wrong somewhere.  I downloaded what appeared to be the same 1.6.2R5 package that I already had and installed it again and now everything appears to be OK.  The affected menu was "Measure Type Set" and I don't recall being in that before so it may have been this way for a while and I didn't notice it.  I did the Recall/Factory Default again just in case...

I had this same issue a few days back after doing the OS upgrade. I had previously applied the 1.6.2R5 upgrade. I'm sure, after the OS upgrade the info screen said the firmware was version 1.6.2 (no R5). I re-applied exactly the same 1.6.2R5 upgrade file and then all my '@@@' were converted back to text and the info screen then said the firmware was 1.6.2R5. I guessed I had just done things in the wrong order - I should've kept more of an eye on this thread!
